TORTILLA CHIP ROBOT
product press release
THE BIG PICTURE
The fry station is one of the most unpleasant and dangerous workspaces in a fast food kitchen. This product was developed to automate the frying and seasoning processes for a single food product, increasing product consistency and reducing employee workload.

As a subassembly owner, I was responsible for the development and functionality of the tortilla chip storage and portioning processes. Countless design iterations led to an increase in accuracy of over 30x, directly impacting throughput and uptime of the system. I implemented both software and hardware changes to achieve target accuracies, while improving customer satisfaction and ensuring food quality and safety. This product was certified to nationally recognized safety standards.
